Daniel: He is an orphan, and lives with his foster parents, Paul and Sandy, in Pennsylvania. He is very interested in knowing more about his real parents, and he is also interested in being a psychologist, since he has psychological issues, which has encouraged him to go in that field. Dan's issues cause him to have lapses in memory, so he forgets large chunks of events during his life.
Abigail: Abby is a young, modern art enthusiast, and feisty teenager looking for a way to get into the art world. She develops an interest in photography, and decides to pursue that branch of art instead of painting and sculpting, which is one of the reasons she wanted to go to New Orleans with Dan and Jordan. In order for her to get into the college she wants, she has to make a project to get in. Although she is small, her friends know that she has a feisty attitude, and has very good leadership skills.
Jordan: Jordan is an adventurous teenage boy. He is gay, but that does not hold him back in any way. His parents don't accept him as being gay and they were trying in so many ways to change his sexuality, but that didn't work. Jordan was fed up with how his own parents did not accept him, so he decided to move down to New Orleans to live with his Uncle Steve, and go to college in a campus near his uncle's house. He invites his friends Dan and Abby to stay with him there so they can all spend one last summer together before the busy college life.
